State-of-the-art sawmills

Our Pine Tech, Inc. mill in Lake City, Michigan has production capacity of more than 120 million board feet of Red Pine lumber annually and is the largest sawmill in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. The mill’s product includes dimensional lumber, timbers and fence posts including 1 1/8” x 3 1/2”, 2x4, 2x6, 2x8, 2x10, 3x3, 4x4, 4x6, 4x8, 6x6x8, 6x6x10 and 6x6x12. Four kilns provide a two-to-four day turn time. Pine Tech is third-party inspected by TPI to maintain high kiln-drying standards and HT certification.

The Pine Tech, Inc. mill in Gladwin, Michigan has an annual capacity of over 9 million board feet. Products include dimensional lumber and timbers including 1 1/8” x 3”, 1 1/8” x 3 1/2”, 4x4, 4x6, 5x5, 5/8” x 5 1/2”, 6x6, 5/8” x 7 1/2”, 6x6 and 8x8x8.

Automatic stackers and plastic banding allow Pine Tech forest products to be readily available in the most common sizes for retailers. This eliminates the time and expense of repackaging our material for treatment and shipment. Custom package sizes are also available.
